Basketball

06/11/2019

Seven of our Year 5/6 children visited South Craven School to take part in a skills workshop. They learnt new skills, such as the layup, and also reinforced their dribbling, passing and shooting skills. The children played brilliantly together and with children from other schools throughout the session.

Football

 16/10/2019

A super effort from our two football teams who took part in the Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 football festivals at South Craven School. The Year 3/4 team managed to win one game and draw one game to finish third in their group. The Year 5/6 team finished second in their group (winning two out of their three games) to qualify for the third/fourth place play-off. Unfortunately, they conceded a goal in the last seconds to narrowly miss out on third place.

Cross Country

25/09/2019

Our first event of the year, in September, was cross country at South Craven School. Everyone who took part showed a huge amount of determination to complete the course. We had our best finish at the event, finishing third overall. We also had a record number of children qualify for the next round at Giggleswick: Milly, Beatrice, Will O, Oscar T, Will F, Maya, Alexander, Dexter Wo, Joe T and Annabel.

In October, the children mentioned above went to Giggleswick and competed once again. Well done to Milly, Will O, Will F, Oscar T, Maya and Joe T who all qualified to run at Dalby Forest in November. An extra well done to Will O, Milly and Joe T, who collected gold, silver and bronze respectively.

Competing at Dalby Forest, against the best runners in North Yorkshire, our team were fantastic again! Well done to Will O, who won for the second year in a row.
